Meet the Troutmans.....
Jason and Tarryn started Auction Horizon in 2011 out of a passion for using their talent, skill and experience to help organizations raise more money to improve, rebuild and shape lives.
Growing up in the antique and art auction world, Jason did not want to pursue any field of auctioneering but fundraising. He attended auction college in 2007 and was Licensed shortly after that.
Tarryn comes from an Event Planning and Fundraising background. She obtained her Auctioneering certification in South Africa in 2006 and went on to become a Director on the South African Institute of Auctioneers Board. In 2010 she came over to the United States to attend an international Auctioneering Conference hosted by the NAA, which was also being attended by Jason.
The two met and the rest, as they say, is history.
As a couple, they have nearly 40 years of fundraising and auctioneering experience.
Leading up to the event, the Troutmans work with the client to:
1. Maximize the fundraising eligibility.
2. Understand the organization and its mission.
By the time we stand on stage or in front of the camera, we know that the elements are in place to ensure fundraising success and that we are equipped to be Ambassadors for your Mission.
As the auctioneer, Jason builds the energy in the room, encouraging participation and giving. Tarryn assists him with catching bids and keeping track of the numbers.
When it comes to the Special Appeal, Tarryn takes the mic, introducing the levels and maintaining the emotional atmosphere established through the Mission Moment. Jason helps with the process.
The couple attempt to balance energy and emotion to ensure that guests are excited about giving to further the Mission and are also enjoying the experience.
